I love holidays, doesn’t matter which one, as long as I get to share a celebration with my family and friends. Love, laughter, good food and great people are what holidays are truly about.  With Easter right around the corner you might be strategically planning where to hide the eggs or filling baskets with jelly beans and Peeps. For me I\’m planning what can do take make this time the best with the people I love.  Our town does a great job creating holiday events for you and your family to enjoy. Here are two coming up to help you make Easter a little more special.

The Fountain Hills Eggstravaganza is a free event happening at 8 a.m. on March 23rd. That’s this Saturday, so get the kids and their baskets ready and head over to Golden Eagle Park. Over 12,000 eggs stuffed with candy and other prizes are hidden throughout the park for children to hunt down. Hoppy, the Easter Bunny will be in attendance for hugs and pictures. Children must be under seven years old to participate. Come early or stay late and enjoy a pancake breakfast which will be available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other event activities will include visiting with the Fountain Hills Fire Department or jumping in the inflatable bouncers. Golden Eagle Park, 15900 E. Golden Eagle Blvd., Fountain Hills.

The annual sunrise service at the Fountain brings thousands every year to gather for an early morning Easter celebration among neighbors and friends. Don’t fret about your Easter Sunday best, don some warm clothes, grab some coffee and throw down a blanket with your family.  Enjoy what is sure to be a beautiful, spring morning.  The fountain will serve as a gorgeous backdrop for this non-denominational service put on by a collaboration of community religion leaders. The service is from 6-7 but come a little early to snag a spot.
Happy Easter!
