The Fountain Hills fountain spouting off at full blast on a beautiful, clear day in Arizona.

Beauty surrounds Fountain Hills with Red Mountain, Four Peaks, Superstition and McDowell Mountain ranges. However, the true heart of our town is the world famous fountain. The Fountain Hills Fountain has been in operation since the ’70s. Three 600-horsepower turbine pumps deliver nearly 7000 gallons of water per minute through an 18″ nozzle. Though the fountain is capable of soaring 560 feet into the air, the daily height is generally around 300 feet using two of the three pumps. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, every hour on the hour for 15 minutes.

Fountain Hills became incorporated in 1989. The population has since grown to an estimated 22,865. The Town offers a wide spectrum of living accommodations; from condominium complexes to custom homes. Fountain Hills also offers a variety of recreational and cultural programs that address every lifestyle, from active families to older adults.

Fountain Hills Unified School District consists of threee schools:  McDowell Mountain Elementary School for Kindergarten-2nd grade, Fountain Hills Middle School for grades 3-8, and Fountain Hills High School (Go Falcons!) for grades 9-12. There is also a Charter School, which has all grades up through 8th grade.

Fountain Hills is an upscale desert community with a hometown charm and appeal. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
