Beauty surrounds Fountain Hills with Red Mountain, Four Peaks, Superstition and McDowell Mountain ranges. Fountain Hills is home to the world famous fountain. The Fountain Hills Fountain has been in operation since the ’70s. Three 600-horsepower turbine pumps deliver nearly 7000 gallons of water per minute through an 18″ nozzle. Though the fountain is capable of soaring 560 feet into the air, the daily height is generally around 300 feet using two of the three pumps. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, every hour on the hour for 15 minutes.

Fountain Hills became incorporated in 1989. The population is estimated to be 24,669 according to the 2006 census. In the May 2006 issue of Phoenix Magazine, Fountain Hills was named the Best Place to Live in the Phoenix Metro area! Fountain Hills was determined to have the best quality of life of any Valley city when factoring things like median home price, crime rates and school test scores.

Sunridge Canyon
SunRidge Canyon Golf Club is a premier Scottsdale Arizona golf course. Designed by Keith Foster is hidden among the ridges and canyons of the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, widely considered one of the most picturesque and dramatic stretches of natural land left in the Southwest.

We-Ko-Pa
Located just east of Fountain Hills, the course is located on land that will never be used for residential or commercial development, yielding dramatic views of the Sonoran desert and the surrounding mountains. Cholla course, designed by Scott Miller and a second 18 holes, the Saguaro course, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. In addition to the two 18-hole courses, there is a large practice facility and a full service clubhouse.

Desert Canyon
Desert Canyon Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course is one of Arizona’s top golfing facilities. It features elevated tees coupled with a variety of elevation changes. Fairways, though open, play tight and prove challenging with strategic placed doglegs. Each hole of the 71-par golf course plays to pristine sky and views of Arizona’s most beautiful mountains.

FireRock Country Club
FireRock Country Club is the only private course in Fountain Hills. It is one of the most exclusive, highly acclaimed courses in the Phoenix Valley, offering only 395 golf memberships. FireRock is a par-72 course and carries an Arizona Golf Association course rating of 72.9. Its design combines dramatic elevation changes; deep canyon washes and holes that hug the slopes of Red Mountains resulting in an unforgettable golf experience. FireRock is as beautiful as it is challenging, with amazing mountain views and the glorious Sonoran Desert.
