Pascal Boutreau, ambassador for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy :
Deputy Editor in charge of Equestrian Sports and digital content, Pascal has worked at Equidia since April 2011, after spending 15 years as a well-known journalist for daily sport newspaper L’Equipe. Having joined L’Equipe for the football World Cup in 1998 (after starting his journalistic career at monthly publications Mondial Basket, Planète Foot and Jogging International), he was then transferred to the Olympic sports section, where he followed around twenty disciplines and covered the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and Beijing in 2008, as well as numerous world championships in several different disciplines. Pascal has also written books about the history of sport, including Au bonheur des Filles, which recounts the history of women’s football in France and for which he was awarded the Prix Lacoste for sports literature.
With a strong online presence thanks to his personal blog, which he created 8 years ago and which is now published via lequipe.fr, Pascal is in charge of the new equidia.fr website and has the mission of making it into a website for all equestrian information. In his spare time, he enjoys several endurance-related hobbies and has taken part in some of the world’s most demanding competitions (Ironman, Marathon des Sables, Diagonale des Fous, 18 marathons, etc.) and even took up horse-riding when he joined Equidia.
