Games Partners’ Meeting: Round III
The Organising Committee held its third Partners’ Meeting on 26 and 27 November. As in the first two editions, the aim of these two days was to bring together all of the partners in order to review how the different projects led by the Committee are progressing and to spend some time together in a relaxed atmosphere ahead of the Christmas period.
These meetings have become somewhat of a “habit” for some partners, though for others it was their first appearance, and a wide range of issues were covered. With less than nine months to go before the event begins, it was important to carry out a thorough assessment in order to inform the partners of the project’s latest progress and the developments planned in the forthcoming months.
Among the topics raised were the main operating principles of the Games Village, the opening of ticket sales to the General Public (which has so far shown very promising results), the next stops on the Games’ Road Tour with Norman the mascot, the release of the new event website, the progress of the sports-related projects – in particular the construction of the obstacles – and the unveiling of the non-sporting content and festivities planned during the two weeks of competition.
All of these things will allow our partners to make the most of their sponsorship and use the Games as a vehicle for communication (press, digital, on-site, etc.) in order to maximise their visibility both before and during the event.
This third meeting was, as always, well received by all partners in attendance. All members of this ever-growing family will be present at the next and final Partners’ Meeting, which will take place on 8 and 9 April 2014, again in the offices of the Crédit Agricole, the event’s Official Banking and Insurance Partner, and Mercure, the event’s Official Hotelier.
