French male vaulters dominate the FEI Vaulting World Cup stage in Bordeaux
The world's best vaulters met in Bordeaux last week-end for the final of the World Cup Circuit after several stages in Germany, Austria and France. A competition dominated by French male Vaulters Nicolas Andreani and Jacques Ferrari.
On the men's side, World champion Nicolas Andreani won the individual gold, unrolling a high-flying program Quiece Aunis, the new horse will follow him until the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy. His teammate Jacques Ferrari, European champion and in full rise lately, takes the silver medal with an innovative and highly creative artistic program built around the concepts of evolution and primary instincts.
On the women's side, the Italian Anna Cavallero won the competition on her horse Harley with an average of 8.522, followed by Swiss rider Simone Jaiser and Dutch Esther Sneekes.
The recent integration of the "pad-de-deux" at the FEI World Cup ™ has created a real enthusiasm from athletes, coaches and fans. This test is now a real success and promises a good show for the 2014 Games. In bordeaux, the Austrian pair composed of Lukas Wacha and Jasmin Lindner won the gold by with the maximum score of 10 given by German judge Jochen Schilffahrt. The silver medal went to German Pia Engelberty and Torben Jacobs, who performed with a modern and very well executed programme. Austria also took the bronze medal thanks to Evelyn Freund and Stefanie Millinger.
A great competition which confirmed the public's enthusiasm for this spectacular discipline, as well as the hopes of French medals during the 2014 Games !
